Nandini, a resident of a village in Andhra Pradesh’s Annamayya district, fulfilled her long-held dream of meeting Chief Minister-designate Chandrababu Naidu. As Mr. Naidu arrived in Vijayawada for a meeting with alliance MLAs, Nandini was determined to seize the opportunity to meet him.
Amidst a crowd of hundreds gathered along the road to catch a glimpse of Mr. Naidu, Nandini patiently waited her turn. As the convoy passed by and cheers erupted from supporters and party workers, Nandini ran alongside the cars, clutching her saree.
To her delight, Mr. Naidu noticed her and halted his car. He personally called her over, opened the door, and greeted her. Despite objections from his security personnel, Mr. Naidu intervened, urging them not to reprimand Nandini.
During their encounter, Nandini, with tears in her eyes, expressed her admiration for Mr. Naidu, likening him to a deity. Moved by her words, Mr. Naidu shook her hands, posed for pictures, and engaged in conversation with her.
Their interaction was brief, as security officers eventually insisted that Nandini return to the hospital for treatment. However, the touching encounter left a lasting impression on both parties.
Chandrababu Naidu is set to take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow, with his MLAs, supporters, party members, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.
