Texas woman Juniper Bryson attempted to sell her newborn hours after giving birth
In a disturbing case, a Texas woman named Juniper Bryson has been accused of attempting to sell her newborn on Facebook just hours after giving birth. Bryson allegedly posted in an online group seeking prospective adoptive parents, where she received interest from several same-sex couples and others who were initially unaware she was asking for payment in return. Following this discovery, Bryson, 21, has been arrested.
Reports indicate that shortly after giving birth, Bryson took a photo of her son and posted an appeal on Facebook in a group titled “The birth mother is looking for adoptive parents.” She expressed willingness to travel to finalize the adoption and reportedly reached out to a family member, hoping the baby wouldn’t be placed into foster care due to his drug-positive status. In her post, she mentioned needing financial support in exchange for the child.

According to charging documents, Bryson stated her financial needs, explaining: “It’s not even like that, just enough to move into an apartment so I can work a job and get (my daughter) back, or a cheap down payment, or any car to get to different places to DoorDash. Nothing crazy at all.”
Bryson’s post drew responses from seven families, with one family traveling over 300 miles to adopt the baby, only to leave after discovering her request for money. It later came to light that a local woman, Wendy Williams, had been hoping to adopt Bryson’s child even before his birth. Williams had taken Bryson to the hospital when she went into labor, stayed with her during the process, and had planned to adopt the baby legally. However, after spending time with the newborn, Williams received concerning messages from Bryson’s Facebook page. When Williams questioned Bryson about the messages, Bryson allegedly had her removed from the hospital. Concerned for the baby’s welfare, Williams contacted Child Protective Services (CPS), alerting them to the situation.
“It was very heartbreaking, not just because we didn’t get a baby out of this, because I think his safety is definitely above all,” Williams stated.
