A UPSC aspirant was barred from taking her exam at SD Adarsh Vidyalaya in Gurugram’s Sector 47 on Monday due to arriving late. Outside the exam center, her parents expressed their frustration and anguish. The aspirant tried to console her father, who was visibly upset and cursing the authorities for not allowing her to take the exam.
“Papa, drink some water. Why are you behaving like this? We can take it next time. It’s not such a big deal,” she said, attempting to calm him and assure him that she would take the exam next year. Her father, overcome with emotion, lamented, “We’ve lost a year, my child.” She courageously responded, “It’s okay! We’re not running out of time.”
The girl and her father then tried to console her mother, who was unwilling to leave the center, insisting, “I won’t go.” Pleading with her mother, the daughter said, “Mummy, it’s just one exam! Please, stop making a scene like this.” Eventually, the father carried the mother away from the center.
