A video capturing a strange incident in Bengaluru has gone viral, showing a woman deliberately staging an accident. The footage, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), was recorded by a car’s dashcam as it traveled down a busy street. The clip shows the woman suddenly throwing herself onto the car’s bonnet, leaving the driver bewildered.

In the video, the driver can be seen stopping the vehicle to avoid any potential harm. Despite the driver’s cautious efforts, the woman becomes aggressive, refusing the driver’s request to call the police and mumbling something before walking away. The unusual nature of the incident has ignited widespread discussion online.

The user who posted the video on August 28 urged others to consider installing dashcams, especially in situations involving women where public perception might quickly turn against the driver. The caption read, “Put a dashcam. You never know when this happens to you. Especially, when it is a lady. If something happens, people will take her side instantly.”

The video has gained over 1 million views, with many commenters emphasizing the importance of dashcams for drivers in India. One user warned, “Dangerous extortionists on Bengaluru roads. Cars, bikes, etc., better beware. Bengaluru is turning into extortionists, criminals’ paradise.”

Another commenter echoed the sentiment, stating, “Dashcam is the most important accessory. Must have in your car.”

Concerns Over Growing Threats on Indian Roads

Several viewers shared their concerns about the growing dangers on Indian roads, citing the necessity of dashcams to protect against potential scams. One user compared the situation to China, stating, “I have only seen this thing in China. Bangalore is slowly turning into something else. People do whatever they can to loot.”

Others shared personal experiences, with one recounting a similar incident in Hyderabad: “Man, the same thing happened to us while we were driving a two-wheeler at Prasad’s Labs Signal. Scammed us 1500 rs.”

While the majority of the reactions expressed concern, some users found the woman’s actions unsettling, with one person commenting, “At first instance, I thought it’s a ghost of a lady.”

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of urban life and the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations on the road.
