A civil court in Pune has summoned actors Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and director Subhash Kapoor over their upcoming film Jolly LLB 3. The court asked the three to mark their presence on October 28 at 11 am, after a petition was filed against the film.

Why was the Complaint Filed?

The case has been filed by Adv. Wajed Rahim Khan, who claims that the movie disrespects the legal system. He pointed out the scenes where lawyers are shown in the dark light and where judges are referred to as ‘mama’, a slang term.

Khan told ANI, “There should be respect for the lawyers. That is why I filed a petition in the court, that whatever they have shown about the advocates and the judges is wrong… I filed a petition in the Pune court. And the court has asked Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and the director to be present.”
