A recent post by a user on X claiming to pay ₹64,000 in rent for an apartment in Noida has caused a stir on the platform. Identified only by the first name Raj, the user shared a picture of the view from his balcony, describing it as “dreamy” and prompting reactions from fellow X users.
Living in a 3BHK with three flatmates, Raj clarified to Hindustan Times that his rent does not include maintenance charges, which are paid separately.
While Noida is typically known for its relatively lower rental rates compared to Delhi, Raj’s claim sparked disbelief among users. Many cited average rental prices for similar properties in Noida, ranging between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000, leading some to question the authenticity of his post.
Responding to skepticism, Raj maintained the truthfulness of his statement, acknowledging that although the facilities in his society are better compared to others, he feels they may be paying more than warranted.
“64K for this view? Insane. I can see the hills for almost 14K per month in Maharashtra,” wrote one person.
Despite the controversy, Raj defended his choice, citing difficulties in finding suitable accommodations in Delhi due to landlords’ reluctance to rent to bachelors.
