Heartbroken Father Honors Late Son’s Dream to Be a Model, Walks the Ramp

The emotional story of Naveenn Kaamboj, who lost weight and walked the ramp to fulfill his late son’s dream, has touched hearts. Kaamboj’s son tragically passed away at the age of 18 in a road accident on Holi, and to honor his memory, Kaamboj decided to pursue a career in modeling.

Dinesh Mohan, who started his own modeling journey at 55 while battling depression, gave Kaamboj the opportunity to fulfill his son’s wish. Mohan shared a video of Kaamboj walking the ramp and described the story as one of “loss, sadness, and exemplary courage.” He wrote, “Bravo Naveenn Kaamboj. He lost his very handsome 18-year-old son last year in an unfortunate road accident on the day of Holi.” Mohan further explained that Kaamboj, driven by sheer willpower, “pulled himself out of depression” and lost significant weight. “Grief is deep, but love is deeper,” Mohan concluded.

The video of Kaamboj walking the ramp quickly went viral, with social media users expressing their admiration. One comment read, “I’m so sorry to hear that.” Another person wrote, “O my God. Hats off to this courageous man.” A third added, “Dil pe pathar rakh ke itna confidence se ramp walk karne ke liye dil se salut.” A fourth commenter shared, “Loads of love and thousands of hugs to this man.”

He shared that he and his son had dreams together, but after his son’s tragic passing, it felt impossible to achieve them. He wrote, “When Karan left us, it felt impossible to bring those dreams to life. For a year, I lived in the shadow of unbearable grief, trying to make sense of the void he left behind. But on his first death anniversary, I made myself a promise: to honor his memory by bringing his dreams to life, in my own way.”

Kaamboj also revealed that when he began his modeling journey, he weighed 100 kg. With the support of his wife, daughter, and youngest son, he managed to lose the weight and achieve his goal. He expressed gratitude to those who helped him along the way.
