In a tragic incident in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, a mother reportedly addicted to drugs allegedly threw her newborn daughter into a stove fire while under the influence. The horrific act unfolded when the woman, reportedly under severe influence, placed her infant daughter in harm’s way. The child’s cries quickly alerted her father, who managed to pull her from the flames. However, the baby sustained severe injuries, suffering burns over 50% of her body.
The injured infant was initially taken to Miyaganj Community Health Center for immediate treatment. Due to the critical nature of her condition, doctors referred her to Lucknow’s Civil Hospital for specialized care. Following a complaint lodged by the father, local police have filed a case against the mother and launched an investigation. Authorities are proceeding with legal action, applying relevant sections to address this grievous act.
