A brutal murder was caught on CCTV inside a rehabilitation centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor. The footage, now circulating online, shows two inmates strangling a youth after tying his legs and stuffing a cloth in his mouth. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Faisal Shamsul Hasan, was later found dead by other residents at the centre.
Gruesome Murder Caught on Camera
The incident took place late Tuesday night at Adarsh Nasha Mukti Kendra. The CCTV video shows two inmates, identified as Gaurav and Amit, first approaching Faisal for a conversation. Suddenly, they overpower him, forcibly gag him with a cloth, and restrain his legs. One of the attackers strangles Faisal with a towel while the other pins him down. The disturbing footage also shows another inmate watching the crime unfold.
After Faisal stops moving, the duo wraps his body in a sheet and drags him outside the centre. His body was discovered the next morning, and he was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Family’s Allegations Raise More Questions
Faisal’s father, Shamsul Hasan, stated that they had admitted him to the rehabilitation centre on February 27 to help him overcome his addiction. However, at 4 AM on Wednesday, they received a call from the centre claiming that Faisal’s health had deteriorated and he was being taken to the hospital.

Upon reaching the hospital, they found him dead. The family suspected foul play when they noticed strangulation marks on his neck and blood near his ears. Their worst fears were confirmed when they reviewed the CCTV footage, which clearly captured the murder.
Police Action and Investigation
SP Rural Ram Arj confirmed that Gaurav and Amit had strangled Faisal after gagging him. The centre’s staff rushed Faisal to the hospital upon discovering the crime, but he had already passed away.
A case has been registered based on the family’s complaint. The police have arrested both accused and are interrogating them to uncover further details
