Elderly actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly made yet another real estate purchase in Ayodhya, buying a second plot of land via the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust. The new plot, according to a report by the Times of India, is 10 kilometers from the Ram Mandir and covers an area of 54,454 square feet.
This is Bachchan’s second land deal in the city after the consecration of the Ram Mandir in 2024. His first purchase was on January 16 last year at Haveli Avadh for Rs. 4.54 crore. Both deals were executed by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav on behalf of the actor.
Pratap Singh, assistant inspector general of the stamp and registration department in Ayodhya, authenticated the sale deeds, saying, “We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place. Once the building plan is approved by the local development authority, one would know what is going to be the purpose of the two investments.”
Sources indicate that the Haveli Avadh land will be utilized for residential purposes, while the recent acquisition will be utilized for charitable causes.
