Bengaluru Techie Works At Momo Stall: ‘His Priorities Are Sorted’

The image of a man working on his laptop while waiting outside a food stall has ignited a broader discussion about the priorities of tech professionals. In Bengaluru, India’s tech hub, it’s almost expected to see young professionals working in unconventional settings.

X user Kritika Kumari shared a photo of the techie working on his laptop outside a momo shop, commenting, “His priorities are sorted.”

The image prompted a wave of humorous reactions and jokes about corporate employees. One X user quipped, “Kicking bug out from his code,” while another simply described the scene as “Corporate employee.” D Shivsagar commented, “Corporates teach privacy protection and data protection… sab gaya pani me (Corporates teach privacy protection and data protection, he has discarded all of that).”

Some users imagined funny scenarios to explain why the techie was using his laptop at a roadside food stall. Siddhant Prateek joked, “kuch nhi phone office mein bhul gaya h, toh Momos wale ko Net Banking se money transfer kr raha hai (He forgot his phone in office. Now he’s transferring money to the momo shop owner through net banking).” Another added, “Maybe he lost his phone while traveling. So he is ordering the food using laptop.”

This incident is not the most unusual place techies have been spotted working. In March, a photo of a man using his laptop inside a theater in Bengaluru sparked a conversation about work-life balance. Similarly, that month saw a viral image of someone attending a video call while driving a two-wheeler in the Silicon Valley of India.
