Eid-al-Fitr celebrations across India highlighted the deep-rooted cultural harmony between Hindus and Muslims, as people from both communities came together to celebrate with joy and unity. Various cities witnessed heartwarming gestures of communal amity, with Hindus showering flowers on Muslims after they completed their Eid prayers.
In Rajasthan’s Jaipur, an atmosphere of warmth and respect filled the air when local Hindu community members welcomed Muslim worshippers with floral tributes at Jama Masjid and Idgah. Chief Qazi Khalid Usmani led the prayers, and as per The Lallantop, the gesture was a planned initiative to strengthen bonds between the two communities. After the prayers, people embraced each other and exchanged Eid greetings, symbolizing brotherhood and peace.

A similar scene unfolded in Prayagraj, where social organizations and Hindu community members showered rose petals on those exiting mosques after Namaz. Several kilos of rose petals were used, with each Namazi receiving a rose as a token of goodwill. Raziya Sultan, present at the event, expressed, “Prayagraj has always been a city that promotes the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.”
The spirit of unity extended to Hardoi’s Sandi town, where Hindus greeted Muslims with flowers during the Eid procession in the presence of Municipal Council President Ramji Gupta. Videos from Seelampur, Delhi, also surfaced online, capturing similar gestures of respect and brotherhood.
In cities like Varanasi and Sambhal, the tradition continued as Hindus welcomed Namazis returning from mosques with flowers, reinforcing India’s rich cultural ethos of harmony and mutual respect.
