Why settle for a regular car when you can cruise down the road in your bed? That’s exactly what Nawab Sheikh, a 27-year-old resident of West Bengal, did—turning heads and taking the internet by storm with his bizarre yet fascinating invention: a fully functional “bed car.”
Nawab’s creation was recently spotted on the Raninagar-Domkal route in Murshidabad. A video now going viral shows him comfortably steering his vehicle while lounging on a mattress, one hand resting on a pillow and the other on the steering wheel. His quirky vehicle is not just for show—it’s equipped with four wheels, brakes, rearview mirrors, and all essential features required for road use. But instead of seats, Nawab installed a full-sized bed.

Speaking to TOI, Nawab revealed, “I took utmost effort and time to create this ‘bed car’ and bring it to the roads.” He also disclosed that the project cost him around ₹2 lakh and, in a surprising move, he even sold his wife’s jewellery to fund the build.
The vehicle made its debut online during Eid, and the sheer uniqueness of the concept instantly won over netizens. With comfort and creativity rolled into one, Nawab’s “bed car” might just be the wildest invention to hit the Indian roads this year.
