Haryana’s Olympian boxer Vijender Singh has reversed his stance on politics, clarifying that his use of “Ram-Ram” isn’t an abandonment of the political sphere. He explained that the phrase is common among people and reflects his approach to politics. Singh emphasized that his invocation of “Ram-Ram” should not be misinterpreted as an exit from the realm of politics.
He said that if the Congress Party entrusts me with the responsibility of contesting elections from Hisar, Bhiwani, Sonipat or anywhere else, then I am ready for it.
Actually, Vijender posted a post on social media (X) yesterday i.e. Thursday at 6 am. In which it was written – “Politics ko Ram-Ram Bhai”. His statement led to speculations that he had retired from politics, but now he has put an end to these speculations.
Earlier, Vijender Singh had announced to contest Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Congress ticket from Bhiwani, Haryana. He had said that the party will take this decision. After this, discussions about his joining Aam Aadmi Party also started. Vijender Singh also supported the farmers’ movement.
