Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel arrived in Delhi to participate in Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi’s oath-taking ceremony on Sunday. Today at 7:15 pm, Modi will make history by being sworn in as India’s Prime Minister for the third time, matching Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of serving as prime minister for a third term after completing two full terms.

Earlier today, PM-elect Narendra Modi signed the visitor’s book after laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.

Meanwhile, several Uttar Pradesh and BJP leaders expressed happiness over Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi’s re-election for a third consecutive term.
UP Minister Girish Chandra Yadav said India will become Viksit Bharat and self-reliant under Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister today…Under his leadership the nation will develop, India will become Viksit Bharat and self-reliant,” Yadav told ANI.
UP Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya called the swearing-in ceremony of PM-elect Narendra Modi a “historic moment for India.”

Speaking to ANI, Yogendra Upadhyaya said, “This is a historic moment for India as Narendra Modi is becoming the Prime Minister for the third time…I hope that the entire country will stand with him for the creation of Viksit Bharat.”

Meanwhile, UP Minister Jaiveer Singh greeted the people of the country for their approval of the work done by Narendra Modi in past years.

“It is a matter of pride that PM-designate Narendra Modi will take the prime minister’s oath. Greetings to the people of the country for their approval of the work done by Narendra Modi,” Jaiveer Singh said.

The BJP won 240 seats, and the National Democratic Alliance captured 292 seats out of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats. Congress contested the election as part of the INDIA bloc, which, together, prevented the BJP from securing a majority in the Lok Sabha independently. The Congress secured 99 seats, while the Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, and DMK won 37, 29, and 22 seats, respectively.
