US President Donald Trump has shown total solidarity with Israel’s military operations in Gaza recently, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed yesterday. Speaking to reporters, she reiterated Trump’s support for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and blamed Hamas for the violence.

“Is fully supportive of Israel and of the IDF and of the efforts that they’ve made in recent days,” Leavitt declared when asked whether Trump was busy trying to create a ceasefire back in Gaza.

The recent Israeli bombing raids have caused more than 500 Palestinian casualties, including 200 children, with more than 900 others injured critically. The Israeli army said Thursday it killed the commander of Hamas’s internal security bureau in an airstrike, the highest-ranking target of the current days.

Hamas retaliated by firing rockets at Tel Aviv, labeling it as retaliation for what it termed as “massacres” of civilians in Gaza. The Israeli military said that one of the projectiles was intercepted while two others fell in empty areas.

With increasing violence, international concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza mounts, with increasing demands for renewed diplomatic efforts to bring peace back.
