One Died, Three Injured In Fatal Shooting At São Paulo Airport, Tied To Organized Crime

A man was shot and killed Friday afternoon at São Paulo’s international airport, Brazil’s busiest hub, authorities confirmed. According to local media reports, the attack is suspected to be linked to organized crime.

The state security office in São Paulo announced that both the murder and its motive remain under investigation. The incident left three others injured, including a woman and two men, who were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention, police said, although they have not disclosed further details about their conditions.

Police and emergency medical responders were called to the scene by airport authorities. Video footage shared on social media indicates that the shooting occurred in the arrivals section of Terminal 2, though officials have not confirmed the location. The investigation into the circumstances and potential suspects is ongoing.
