Meet Vivian Jenna Wilson, Who Rejects Her Father’s Legacy and Embraces Her Own Journey

Vivian Jenna Wilson, Elon Musk’s transgender daughter, has completely cut ties with him. In 2022, she legally changed her name and gender, making it clear that she wanted no connection with her father. Additionally, she has criticized him on social media, further distancing herself from his influence.

Vivian Rejects Musk’s Name and Support

At just 20 years old, Vivian refuses to associate herself with Musk. Instead, she has built her own identity as a trans influencer. Since Musk financially cut her off in 2020, she has remained independent. Rather than relying on his wealth, she has sustained herself on her own terms.

Originally named Xavier Alexander Musk, Vivian officially changed her identity a few years ago. Notably, in her legal filing, she stated she no longer wanted to “be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.” Her mother, Justine Wilson, was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008. After their divorce, she continued to raise their children.

Musk’s Reaction and Conservative Shift

Meanwhile, Musk has frequently spoken about declining birth rates and his views on society. In a 2024 interview with Jordan Peterson, he deadnamed Vivian and said, “I lost my son, essentially.” Furthermore, he claimed she was “dead, killed by the woke mind virus.” According to Musk, Vivian’s transition influenced his shift toward conservative politics. He even declared, “I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that, and we’re making some progress.”

Vivian’s Stand Against Musk

On the other hand, Vivian has remained firm in her decision to cut off Musk. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she made her stance clear. “I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind. The only thing that gets to live free in my mind is drag queens,” she said.

Moreover, she shared how her mother supported her during her transition. Recalling the experience, she said, “No, he was not as supportive as my mum. First of all, I had not talked to him in months—in months—so I had to get f**king parental consent to get testosterone blockers and [hormone replacement therapy].”

Vivian Moves to Tokyo for a Fresh Start

Currently, Vivian has relocated to Tokyo to study languages. Besides her academic pursuits, she has also built a strong online presence. Despite her family’s wealth and influence, she continues to carve her own path, proving her independence.
