Did FBI Hide Epstein Documents? Wildfires Raise Questions

Massive brush fires broke out across Long Island, New York, fueling speculation about Jeffrey Epstein’s case. After videos surfaced online, an X user suggested the fire started near the site where US Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed the FBI was hiding Epstein-related documents.

State of Emergency Declared

Officials urged residents to stay alert as fast-moving wildfires filled the sky with thick smoke. New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency in Suffolk County as the fires spread.

Residents panicked as four separate wildfires erupted on Saturday, March 8, near the Hamptons. The fires ignited in Center Moriches, East Moriches, Eastport, and Westhampton, covering Long Island’s East End in heavy smoke by 1 PM.

Flames threatened both middle-class homes and wealthy Hamptons communities, according to the New York Post.

Social Media Fuels FBI Conspiracy

As thick smoke rose over the area, an X user asked, “Wait… Isn’t this near where Pam Bondi said the FBI was withholding Epstein documents from her?”

This theory gained traction since Bondi had recently accused the FBI of hiding crucial Epstein-related files.

Pam Bondi’s Claims Against the FBI

A week before the fires, Pam Bondi criticized federal investigators for withholding thousands of pages of Epstein documents. She demanded the FBI release them without redactions.

In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Bondi questioned why the agency had not disclosed the files. She released declassified documents, but they contained no major revelations.

Bondi wrote, “Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of the files.”

She ordered Patel to investigate immediately and submit a report within 14 days, stating, “You will deliver to me a comprehensive report of your findings and proposed personnel action within 14 days.”

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities are still battling the fires, but conspiracy theories about the FBI’s Epstein files continue to spread. Officials have not found evidence linking the wildfires to any deliberate act, yet speculation persists on social media.
