Chanel Tapper, who is a California, USA, student, gained international popularity based on her unbelievably long tongue, measuring 9.75 cm (3.8 inches) from tip to midpoint of her lip. Her unusual trait has earned her a Guinness World Record as the longest female tongue.
Tapper first discovered her distinctive feature at age eight while taking a Halloween picture with her mother. Reflecting on it, she explained, “I noticed I had a long tongue when the pictures from Halloween were developed and I saw it… but I guess it became obvious in middle school when people began making comments on it.”
To put its length into context, her tongue is about the size of an iPhone, nearly twice as large as a normal human tongue. Finding people’s reactions entertaining, she enjoys the shock reaction, saying, “I love it when people get such a shock that they scream in horror.”

Man with Longest Tongue Uses It for Painting
Nick Stoeberl is another Guinness World Record holder with the longest tongue in men, measuring 10.1 cm (3.97 inches).Rather than simply displaying its length, Stoeberl has come up with a way to utilize his record-holding attribute: painting.
On his initial visit to the UK, he appeared on This Morning with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and demonstrated his rare talent. Rolling his tongue in cling film, he painted the hosts’ portraits live on air, leaving them stunned.
The hosts were entertained, with one of them teasing, “I feel like I shouldn’t be watching you do this; it feels very personal.” Guinness World Records states that Stoeberl’s tongue is so long that he can even lick his elbow—a feat long thought to be impossible for a human.
