The Lok Sabha made a historic decision yesterday, according to Union Minister Munda. The Rajya Sabha will hold significant deliberations on it today. Work was done under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership to respect women through various programs.

Union Minister Munda said that this was a historic achievement.
“Women in the country would get an opportunity to excel in every field after this is implemented. The demand to include Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the Women’s Reservation Bill was part of politics being played,” he added.
Earlier, in a historic move, the Vice-President and the Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday reconstituted the panel of vice-chairpersons comprising 13 women Rajya Sabha members for the day as the house discussed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Bill, 2023.

The Rajya Sabha Chairman emphasized that having female members of parliament sit in the chair would send a strong message to the world and would show that they were in a “commanding position” during this moment of history-altering change. P T Usha, Phangnon Konyak, Jaya Bachchan, Saroj Pandey, Rajani Ashokrao Patil, Fauzia Khan, Dola Sen, Indu Bala Goswami, Kanimozhi NVN Somu, Kavita Patidar, Mahua Maji, Kalpana Saini, and Sulata Deo are the female Rajya Sabha members nominated to the panel of vice-chairpersons.
