Renowned Bengali actor Kalyan Chatterjee, known for his remarkable contribution to cinema, died at the age of 81. The West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum announced that the actor breathed his last late Sunday night at MR Bangur Super Speciality Hospital, where he had been admitted with typhoid and age related ailments.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Chatterjee appeared in over 400 films, making his debut in the 1968 release Aponjon.
