Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief YS Sharmila was detained by police on Friday as she attempted to protest the paper leak problem at the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office in Hyderabad.
The TSPSC canceled the Assistant Engineers (AE) exam on March 15 due to claims of question paper leakage. On March 13, police arrested nine individuals, including two TSPSC employees. Following the arrest of the accused, the Commission postponed the exam as well as other exams planned for later this month.
Telangana Police Special Investigation Team, which is looking into the TSPSC exam paper leak case, summoned State BJP head Bandi Sanjay on Saturday and asked him to appear before it on March 26 for questioning.
“SIT did not dare to issue notices to BRS leaders in the paper leakage case,” Bandi Sanjay said in response to the summons issued by Telangana Police’s Special Investigation Team in association with the TSPSC test paper leak case.
On March 25, SIT officials arrived at Sanjay’s Banjara Hills home in Hyderabad to serve him with a notice in connection with the TSPSC leak investigation.
Previously, the BJP Telangana leader was called by SIT and asked to appear before officials to answer questions about his claim that 50 people from Jagitial district had qualified for TSPSC.
