Donald Trump received birthday wishes not only from his family members but also from his Democratic rival Joe Biden, who teased him about his age as he turned 78 on Thursday, June 14.

The Biden campaign also took the opportunity to remind Trump that he is a “fraud, failure, and a crook.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son Donald Trump Jr. also shared messages on X.

“Happy birthday Dad! @realDonaldTrump I love you today and everyday!” Ivanka tweeted along with a photo of them walking hand in hand in the White House.

Taking to her Instagram account, Ivanka shared various photos, including her wedding portrait, a picture of them in a boardroom, and a childhood photo of her holding her father’s hand. She also posted an old photo of her father from his 1997 New Yorker feature, along with a photograph of the two kissing on the cheek.

Meanwhile, his son wished him “Happy Birthday Dad!!!” and shared a photo of his father embracing the American flag. Don Jr.’s ex-wife Vanessa posted on X, “Happy Birthday to the best grandpa.”

Eric celebrated Trump’s birthday by posting a childhood photo of himself with his father, captioned “Happy Birthday to this warrior! @realdonaldtrump,” accompanied by American flag emojis.

In her Instagram stories, Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee and Eric Trump’s spouse, also extended birthday wishes to Trump.

Additionally, Tiffany, another of Trump’s daughters, shared a photo of herself and Trump from her November 2022 wedding to Michael Boulos at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

Trump’s estranged niece Mary, known for her criticisms of her uncle, commented on X: “Tomorrow my uncle turns 78 (I’ve heard that’s old). It’s his last birthday before he starts asking for his cake to have a file in it.”

While Trump’s other family members extended their best wishes, Melania Trump and son Barron did not publicly comment on his birthday.

Biden’s campaign targets Trump

Biden’s post on social media featured a video highlighting his achievements in contrast to the actions and statements attributed to Trump.

“Happy 78th birthday, Donald. Take it from one old guy to another: Age is just a number. This election, however, is a choice,” Biden tweeted.

James Singer, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, extended birthday wishes to Trump with a pointed message. “You’re a crook, a failure, a fraud, and a threat to our democracy, economy, rights, and future. On behalf of America, our early gift for your 79th: Making sure you are never president again.”

Additionally, the Biden campaign compiled a humorous list of 78 “accomplishments” to mark Trump’s 78th birthday, highlighting his controversial moments and legal challenges. The list includes references to his recent conviction related to hush money, struggles with his business ventures, support for the execution of the Central Park Five, handling of the Covid outbreak, and claims about his influence on overturning Roe v. Wade.

Trump’s birthday celebration and his bizarre statement

On Friday night, Trump marked his birthday by speaking to a crowd in Florida, where he repeatedly criticized Biden, claiming he was too frail for a second term.

Trump addressed supporters at a West Palm Beach convention center near his Mar-a-Lago residence. The event included a towering, multi-tiered cake presented by organizers as part of the festivities, with attendees tossing red and blue balloons.

The cake, situated on a gold-dripping base, featured distinct layers adorned with nationalist quotes and imagery, including the slogan “Born in the USA on Flag Day,” a miniature figure of Trump playing golf, a “MAGA” baseball cap, and the emblem of Club 47.

In a dramatic address, Trump asserted to the American electorate, “We don’t need your vote. I have so many.” He elaborated, “I actually tell our people, we don’t need your vote. We’ve got so many votes,” emphasizing his bid for a second term in the White House.

During his speech on Friday, Trump used the opportunity to sharply criticize Biden, his rival for the presidency, declaring, “So in addition to all of his other well-documented offenses, Crooked Joe Biden is now also guilty of providing material support for terrorism.”

Larry Snowden, the president of Club 47, confirmed that all 5,000 seats were sold out, priced between $35 to $60 each. Trump dubbed the event the “biggest birthday ever.”
