New Delhi: After facing backlash from students, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has enabled NEET-UG applicants to download their admit cards without first entering or confirming their bank account details.

The NEET portal now allows candidates to update or confirm their bank details either “now” or “later”. Applicants can either provide the details before downloading the admit card or return to the portal after the re-examination to complete the process.

The move comes after the earlier process linked admit card download with bank details confirmation, leading several applicants to make errors and miss the chance to claim refunds due to unclear website navigation and technical glitches.

Soon after releasing the admit cards on June 14, the NTA faced a flood of complaints on social media over technical bugs and missed opportunities to update bank details. On June 15, the agency announced a second window after the re-examination for applicants who may have made mistakes during the process.

The refund of the application fee was announced after the May 3 examination was cancelled due to the paper leak.
