In Jaipur, a woman from Tonk fell victim to a gang rape orchestrated by a friend who had promised to help release her husband from jail. Deceived and lured under the guise of employment, the woman was subjected to this heinous crime by the acquaintance and his contractor friend. The victim filed an FIR with the help of her father, prompting the police to register the case and launch an investigation.
In her complaint, the 30-year-old woman from Tonk, residing in the Sanganer area, recounted a distressing experience. Her husband is currently in jail, and an acquaintance named Babulal Bairwa offered assistance with his bail and legal matters. Babulal then introduced her to his contractor friend, Rameshwar Bairwa, for potential employment.
The harrowing incident occurred in late June 2023 when she went to work at an under-construction house on Chandalai Road. On June 29, during a liquor party organized by Babulal and Rameshwar, they arrived at the site during lunch. Under the guise of plastering, Rameshwar took her into a room, where she endured threats and a horrifying gang rape. Following the assault, the perpetrators issued further threats before leaving the scene. Later that evening, the accused returned to her residence, ostensibly to pay her wages for the day’s labour. Discovering the woman alone at home, they subjected her to another horrifying gang rape.
