Remember there was a time you were tensed about the result of an exam? You probably stayed awake the whole night in anticipation or prayers. The result was either you passed and rejoiced or failed and cried.
After a few months you had another anxiety. Perhaps of a job or a life partner you wanted. You were worried whether you will be able to fulfill the dream. But after the goal was attained, the anxiety resumed with another new thought, a new worry about tomorrow. The birth of a child, buying a new house or car, concerns about how to make ends meet or payments.
“Will everything be according to what I have dreamt? Will the road ahead be as smooth as I want?”
Even if we try to stop worrying, our worry always has a way to creep in our thoughts despite the fact that somehow life has a way to carry on. Sometimes facing failures, or other times passing the hurdles successfully. Life goes on despite our worries.
As Dale Carnegie says –
“Today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday.”
There is no doubt that a little worry about the future, family and the well-being of your loved ones are inevitable. So develop coping skills to deal with issues rather than worrying consistently about the outcome or unknown.
