A threatening message received on the Jaipur Police Control Room’s WhatsApp number has caused a panic. Given the suspicious nature of the case, a high-level investigation is now underway. The number from which the threatening message was sent belongs to a woman residing in Bharatpur. In response, the Jaipur police informed the Bharatpur police, and upon reaching the location, no suspicious items were found on the girl’s mobile.
When information was gathered from the girl, it was revealed that an acquaintance from her past was using her number. When the police investigated the young man, it was found that his location was in a city in Uttar Pradesh. Bharatpur police then informed senior officers of the Uttar Pradesh police.
Subsequently, Bharatpur police and Uttar Pradesh STF are jointly searching for the accused youth who sent the threatening message. The message mentioned that some criminals had kidnapped the girl, and they possessed RDX and weapons.
Threats of major explosions in the next 7 days were made at places such as the Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Ayodhya Ram Temple, and various areas in Jaipur. Bharatpur and Uttar Pradesh police, collaborating, are in search of the accused youth, and after his arrest, the full details of the case will be revealed.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju Joseph said that though the message caused concern, the cyber team quickly identified the mobile number holder. The accused youth’s location is currently in Uttar Pradesh. Police teams are searching for him. Providing false information of this kind wastes police time. The time that could have been spent on police investigations and crime control has been spent on this fake incident. The police will take strict action against the youth involved.
