In a display of religious devotion, thousands of devout Muslims congregated across Jammu and Kashmir to offer Friday prayers on the last Friday of the ongoing month of Ramadan. Among the notable gatherings, the largest congregational prayer took place at the revered Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, which houses the holy relic of the Prophet of Islam and stands as the holiest Muslim shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.

Former Chief Ministers Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti were among the devotees who participated in the Friday prayers at the Hazratbal shrine, underscoring the significance of the occasion. Beyond the capital, sizable gatherings for Friday prayers were witnessed at various mosques in the Jammu division and other locations across the Valley, demonstrating the unity and spiritual fervor among the Muslim community during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The congregational prayers serve as a reminder of the rich religious heritage and cultural diversity of Jammu and Kashmir, where faith plays a central role in the lives of its inhabitants.

As the month of Ramadan draws to a close, such gatherings not only foster a sense of community but also provide an opportunity for reflection, prayer, and spiritual rejuvenation among the faithful.
