In a shocking incident in Lamba village, within the Bhilwara police station area of Jodhpur, two thieves entered a house with the intent of theft and ruthlessly murdered a woman by strangling her during the robbery. The victim, identified as Anju (25), was at home with her one-year-old daughter, Kavya, as her husband was away for work.
The perpetrators, Anil Vishnoi (24) and Sahil (26) broke into the house after suspecting it to be empty. Unfortunately, Anju was present, and upon realizing the break-in, she confronted the thieves. In a panic, the criminals strangled Anju with a knife. The incident took a horrifying turn as the 12-year-old niece, Kusum, who was also present in the house, witnessed the attack. In an attempt to seek help, Kusum went to the roof, but the thieves caught her and attacked her with a knife around her neck.
The brutality didn’t spare Anju’s one-year-old daughter, who was also injured with a knife. The victims were rushed to the government hospital in Bhilwara, where Anju succumbed to her injuries. The two girls are currently undergoing treatment.
The crime came to light when Kusum contacted her cousin Chainaram and informed him about the attack. Chainaram, along with other relatives, reached the scene and immediately alerted the police. Anju’s mother-in-law and other family members also arrived at the house.
Upon investigation, the police apprehended Anil and Sahil with the help of the villagers.
Anju’s husband, Mahendra, who drives a truck, was away at the time of the incident. Anju had declined her mother-in-law’s invitation to accompany her to a family event, citing the need to care for her one-year-old daughter.
The mother-in-law secured the house with a lock before leaving for the event, not anticipating the tragic events that unfolded in her absence.
