In politics, one cannot predict when the tables will turn. The results of the 2023 elections in Rajasthan have turned in favour of the BJP, as acknowledged by public opinion. Since losing power, the supporters of acting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are distancing themselves from him.
After the electoral results were announced, OSD Lokesh Sharma criticised Gehlot for the defeat. Now, another post by Lokesh Sharma on social media is rapidly going viral. In this post, Lokesh Sharma has commented on the review meeting held in Delhi.
Lokesh Sharma wrote that according to media reports on the review meeting held in Delhi, the main reasons for the Congress defeat were considered to be repeating tickets and anti-incumbency against sitting legislators. He added, “I had said the same on the day of the results, so those who repeat tickets should take responsibility for the defeat with determination.”
He further wrote, “Instead of counting other excuses, preparations can be made to face the challenges of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by taking necessary corrective steps. Although it is difficult to make improvements and changes, it is necessary for the desired outcome.”
Earlier, after the Congress’s defeat in the results, Lokesh Sharma had posted accusing former CM Ashok Gehlot, saying that Gehlot deceived the high command with tricks, not letting the correct feedback reach the top, not letting anyone become an alternative, constantly making decisions in self-interest by surrounding oneself with people involved for their benefits, being engrossed in self-indulgence despite continuously making wrong decisions and judgments, and sticking to getting tickets for their favourite candidates despite clearly seeing their defeat.
He claimed that Ashok Gehlot was responsible for Congress’s defeat in the elections.
