Following the Supreme Court’s caution to Patanjali Ayurved regarding “misleading” claims in its advertisements for medicines, co-founder Swami Ramdev asserted that there is an agenda and propaganda aimed at defaming his company. During a press conference in Haridwar, Swami Ramdev refuted reports of the Supreme Court’s reprimand, emphasizing that Patanjali is not engaged in false propaganda. He alleged that a group of doctors is orchestrating continuous propaganda against Yoga and Ayurveda and challenged anyone to fine them Rs 1000 crore or impose the death penalty if proven otherwise. Ramdev defended Patanjali’s Ayurvedic products, stating they have the necessary clinical evidence. He accused recent propaganda of targeting him and Patanjali, aiming to defame ancient yoga practices and Ayurveda.
