This closure means no trading will occur in the Equity, Equity Derivative, Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB), or Currency Derivatives segments. However, in the Commodity Derivatives and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segments, trading will resume during the evening session, with the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and National Commodity Exchange (NCDEX) reopening from 5:00 PM onwards after remaining closed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Today’s holiday is one of three stock market holidays in November, with closures also scheduled for November 20 for Maharashtra Assembly General Elections and December 25 for Christmas, the last holiday of the year.
