Assessing Ghanshyam Lodhi’s performance as Rampur’s MP

A ground-level survey of the Rampur parliamentary constituency was conducted by India News to analyse the performance of Ghanshyam Lodhi , the Member of Parliament from Rampur, and gather voters’ feedback about him.
Ghanshyam Lodhi, an Indian politician, secured a seat in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s Parliament, representing Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, in the 2022 general elections as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP now holds this seat, and currently, Ghanshyam Lodhi from BJP is the Member of Parliament from here.
The Rampur Lok Sabha seat has the highest number of Muslim voters. Only Hindu candidates have won in just six elections—1977, 1991, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2022. In all other elections, Muslim candidates have won from here.
There are more than 1.7 million voters in the Rampur Lok Sabha constituency. The literacy rate in the district is just 53 percent. Development doesn’t appear uniform across all assembly constituencies here.
While there’s progress in Rampur city, rural areas seem to lag behind.
There are a total of five assembly seats in the Rampur Lok Sabha area. In terms of caste equations in Rampur, Muslim voters hold the majority. After them, Lodhi voters are the highest. Due to this, BJP fielded Ghanshyam Lodhi in the 2022 by-election. With BJP’s win in the 2022 by-election, it was believed that BJP had made inroads into the Muslim vote here.
Mostly, people believe that the MP’s work is better. More people agree to give another chance to the MP.
Meanwhile, the Modi factor is still crucial for the people here, more than the MP factor. Based on the development in the area and the fulfillment of promises, the people of Rampur are rating their MP, GhanShyam Lodhi, at 6 out of 10, giving him a 3.9 score, which is quite impressive – meaning GhanShyam Lodhi is receiving 65% in India News survey, which is significantly better.
As per the survey results, voters seem satisfied with his performance as their MP.
This conclusion can be drawn by evaluating his work based on factors such ground performance and parliamentary achievements.
The constituents gave high marks for Lodhi’s parliamentary work, culminating in a notable score. Additionally, it highlights the diversity of people spoken to, spanning across genders, professions, and religious beliefs.
