Every Premier League side is on a path to revamp and reshuffle their respective sides for the upcoming 2020-21 season as the ongoing summer transfer season has reached its busy end. We take a look at the top six Premier League sides, the players they have brought in and let go, and also who else has been linked to them off late.

 LIVERPOOL

The champions have been amongst the quietest in the transfer market since their biggest challenge this year is to keep the players who performed excellently well in the title-winning season. Their only addition this year has been the Greek Left Back Kostas Tsimikas, whom they purchased for a cheap 11.7 million euros to give their first choice Andy Robertson a decent competition. A few veteran players associated with the club have been allowed to leave with center-back Lovren leaving for Zenit St Petersburg & Adam Lallana joining Brighton after being released from the club. Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara has been closely linked with a move to the reds, a move if completed could be one of the biggest scoops of this season. But Dutch midfield Gini Wijnaldum, a crucial player in the Klopp setup could be leaving for Barcelona.

 MANCHESTER CITY

The biggest talking point around Manchester City in this transfer season is easy to guess. The talks around Messi’s game-changing move have been doing the rounds ever since he put in a transfer request at Barcelona. This would easily be the move of the decade when it happens. But for now, Manchester City has still had a busy transfer season. Promising Centre Back Nathan Ake has taken the jump from Bournemouth for a hefty 40 million Euros along with the Spanish winger Ferran Torres. Guardiola has also taken the 18-yearold Juventus talent Pablo Moreno on loan, who will be an exciting kid to watch. The club has bid an emotional goodbye to legend David Silva and has sold German star Leroy Sane for 54 million Euros to Bayern Munich. Their transfer season could go on to be the best, however, it all depends on if Messi wishes to rejoin Guardiola. The entire footballing world has its eyes set on this move.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United have made their first big move in the transfer market, signing Ajax midfielder Donny Van De Beek for 40 million Euros. The Dutch talent is expected to straightaway get into the Manchester United side and the Bruno-Pogba-Van De Beek trio will be an exciting watch for the Red Devils this season. Alexis Sanchez’s disappointing journey at Manchester United has come to an end after he made his move to Inter Milan permanent for an undisclosed fee. The club has been strongly chasing the Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho and is still in the market for some very good players. Leipzig fullback Dayot Upamecano, Thiago Alcantara, and Ream Madrid talent Sergio Reguilon have been linked with the club. Although the Van De Beek move is now done as dusted, it feels like United haven’t got everything they wanted in the market so far.

CHELSEA

Aggression and intent. These two words sum up Chelsea’s Transfer window as the club has kept its window transfer ban behind and gone all-out making some excellent signings this window. The big bag of money that came with Hazard and Morata’s sales has been cashed in, with the club adding German striker Timo Werner, Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, PSG and Brazilian legend Thiago Silva, English left-back Ben Chilwell, French talent Malang Sarr and are all set to complete an excellent window by signing the extremely exciting Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for about 100 million Euros. The club has also bid goodbyes to two veteran players after Willian left for Arsenal and Pedro joined AS Roma.

ARSENAL

Arsenal has made a big statement that they are in for it by defeating Liverpool for the Community Shield trophy. Defender Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, and Willian have been the notable additions with Mkhitaryan leaving the club and joining Roma. Ceballos will resign for the club as Arteta works hard to strengthen his squad for the new season.

TOTTENHAM

Tottenham and Mourinho have made their signings from other English clubs so far, adding Hojbjerg from Southampton, veteran keeper Joe Hart and Doherty from Wolves. They are yet to make an ace signing so far and are in talks with Bournemouth striker Josh King to add to the latest Premier League talent. Vertonghen’s departure at the back has led to the club build its interest for Inter Milar star Milan Skriniar who has been linked to the club.
