Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has once again grabbed headlines, but this time for his silence. A viral video shows Dhoni refusing to comment on India’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory when approached by a reporter at the airport. Instead of answering, Dhoni gestured for the reporter to move aside and walked away, sparking mixed reactions among fans and media.

India, led by Rohit Sharma, remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, securing the title after defeating New Zealand in the final. This win marked India’s first Champions Trophy triumph since 2013, when Dhoni himself had led the team to glory. Despite his legacy with the tournament, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman chose not to speak about the latest achievement.
Sanju Samson on His Bond with MS Dhoni
While Dhoni’s silence made waves, Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson shared his admiration for the former CSK captain. Speaking on JioHotstar’s ‘SuperStar’ program, Samson recalled how he always dreamt of spending time with Dhoni and learning from him.
“Like every young Indian cricketer, I always wanted to be around MS Dhoni. Every time we played against CSK, I wanted to sit and talk to him, ask him how he does things. It was a dream for me,” Samson said.
He further recalled a match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Sharjah, where he performed exceptionally well, scoring 70-80 runs and winning the Man of the Match award.
“After that, I met Mahi bhai, and since then, our relationship has grown. Even now, I meet him often. Just yesterday, I met him again. It’s truly a blessed feeling—to go from idolizing him to now sitting with him for shoots and events. I feel like I’m living my dream,” Samson added.
