Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil praised his team’s effort after their narrow 1-0 victory over Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League (ISL). The win marked Jamshedpur’s seventh of the season, lifting them from eighth to fourth place in the standings with 21 points from 12 matches.
Chaudhari’s Key Goal
The breakthrough came in the 61st minute when Pratik Chaudhari scored the only goal of the match. Kerala Blasters FC failed to clear a cross, and Chaudhari took advantage of the loose ball, firing it into the bottom left corner. This marked his third-ever ISL goal and his first since December 2021.
Jamil Credits the Players
Reflecting on the win, Jamil credited the players for their hard work and teamwork. “I give all the credit to the boys. Because of the boys (we got the result), they worked very hard. Who is playing, who is not playing (doesn’t matter), they (players) are supporting each other, that is the good thing. We must maintain it like this,” he said.
Kerala’s Challenge and Gomes’ Performance
Although Kerala Blasters FC dominated possession and created multiple chances, Jamshedpur FC’s goalkeeper Albino Gomes stood strong, preventing them from scoring. When asked about Kerala’s challenge, Jamil stayed focused on the result. “The main thing is we got the three points and that’s the most important thing,” he commented.
