The Sikh Progressive Front, led by President S Balvinder Singh, vehemently condemned the brutal killing of Amritpal Singh and the injuring of Rohit Sharma in Srinagar. In an urgent meeting convened today, prominent members of the SPF, including S Manjit Singh, S  Rajinder Singh, and others, expressed deep anguish over the targeted violence against members of the minority community in the valley.

The incident, which resulted in the tragic death of Amritpal Singh and inflicted injuries on Rohit Sharma, was denounced as a deplorable act that tarnishes the fabric of civilized society. Despite assurances from the JKUT administration regarding the eradication of terrorism, such targeted killings continue to occur, reflecting a failure to protect innocent lives.

The SPF called upon the UT Administration to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible for this barbaric act, emphasizing the need for stringent action to restore the confidence of minorities in the valley. Demanding justice, the SPF urged the authorities to provide due compensation to the family of the deceased and ensure prompt medical treatment and support for the injured victim.

As the community mourns the loss of Amritpal Singh and prays for the swift recovery of Rohit Sharma, the SPF stands united in its resolve to uphold justice, peace, and harmony in the region.
