A team from the district supply department raided a shop late Tuesday evening and seized 18 domestic gas cylinders. These cylinders were being used to illegally refill LP gas in tanks of autos and other vehicles.
The department received information that near SBI Bank on Hatwara Road, there was a shop where autos and other vehicles with gas kits installed were being refilled illegally. This LP gas was being refilled from domestic cooking gas cylinders. Subsequently, a team comprising Saroj Meena, Jyoti Sunda, Rajesh Kumar Tank, and Babita Yadav conducted an investigation at the site.
During the investigation, Farukh Hussain was caught red-handed refilling LP gas from domestic cooking gas cylinders into an auto at his shop. During this time, 18 domestic gas cylinders (3 empty and 15 filled), two electronic motors, two electronic scales, and two autos were seized from the shop where illegal LP gas refilling was being carried out. The team members informed that a case had been registered against Farukh at the local police station. Further departmental action has been initiated.
