Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who underwent emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in Delhi due to life-threatening bleeding in the skull, is reportedly recovering well and making steady progress.

According to a statement by the Isha Foundation on the social media platform X, “Sadhguru is recovering well and is making steady progress. We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached out to Sadhguru, conveying their wishes for his good health and a speedy recovery.

On March 20, Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital, revealed details of Sadhguru’s condition, stating, “He had been experiencing a headache for the last four weeks…The pain became severe on March 15…the MRI showed that he had massive bleeding in the brain… There was massive two-time bleeding–one that happened about three weeks back and the second that happened around two-to-three days ago.”

Sadhguru, aged 66, experienced a decline in consciousness and weakness in the left leg on March 17, prompting his immediate transfer to the medical facility. A team of doctors, including Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S Chatterjee, swiftly conducted the surgery to alleviate the bleeding within hours of admission. Following the surgery, Sadhguru was successfully taken off the ventilator.
