With July fast approaching, it’s essential to stay informed about upcoming financial deadlines and regulatory updates. Here are five significant money-related changes and deadlines to note for July.
Paytm Payments Bank has announced that starting July 20, 2024, inactive wallets with zero balances and no transactions for the past year or longer will be terminated. According to the Paytm Payments Bank website, “All wallets with no transactions for the last 1 year or more and zero balance will be closed effective July 20th, 2024. Communication will be sent to affected users, who will have a 30-day notice period before wallet closure.”
These Paytm wallets are scheduled for closure on July 20, 2024.
SBI Card has announced that starting July 1, 2024, reward points will no longer accrue on government-related transactions for specific credit cards. This change will take effect from July 15, 2024, as per information available on the SBI Card website.
ICICI Bank has announced changes to its credit card services effective July 1, 2024. One notable revision is an increase in the card replacement fee from Rs 100 to Rs 200 across all cards, except the Emerald Private Metal Credit Card.
Additionally, the following credit card charges will be discontinued:
1. The Rs 100 fee per pick-up for cheque/cash will no longer apply.
2. The Rs 100 charge per request for a charge slip will be discontinued.
3. The transaction fee of 3% of the draft value amount, with a minimum of Rs 300, will no longer be deducted for Dial-a-draft.
4. The outstation cheque processing fee of 1% of the cheque value, with a minimum of Rs 100, will be discontinued.
5. A fee of Rs 100 for requesting duplicate statements beyond three months will no longer apply.
The Income Tax Return (ITR) filing deadline for Fiscal Year 2023-24 (AY 2024-25) is July 31, 2024. However, late submissions can be filed until December 31, 2024.
PNB Bank has revised the lounge access program for all Rupay Platinum Debit Card variants, effective July 1, 2024, allowing one domestic airport/railway lounge access per quarter and two international airport lounge accesses per year.
Axis Bank has informed Citibank credit card customers about the migration of all relationships, including credit card accounts, which is expected to be completed by July 15, 2024.
