Less than a month before the historic consecration ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed anticipation for the removal of “another symbol of slavery” on January 22. Fadnavis highlighted the significance of installing Ram Lalla at his birthplace, emphasizing the fulfillment of a longstanding dream for Indians. Drawing parallels between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and Lord Ram’s ‘Ram Rajya,’ Fadnavis envisioned a society where every individual, like a king, is heard with equal importance. He emphasized the transformative role of the Ram Mandir as a new symbol of Sanatan Dharma. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, to perform Ram Lalla’s pran pratishtha, marking a historic moment witnessed by saints, Mahatmas, and eminent personalities. The consecration ceremony represents a crucial milestone following the Supreme Court’s 2019 verdict on the Ayodhya dispute, allowing the construction of the grand Ram temple. The Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, established by the central government, oversees the temple’s construction, progressing steadily since the foundation stone was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
Fadnavis underlined the symbolism and cultural significance of the temple, portraying it as a beacon of self-confidence and a representation of Sanatan values.
