Rajasthan’s political parties and star campaigners are actively addressing gatherings across the state for the upcoming state assembly elections. In this series, on Sunday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed public meetings in Kotputli, in the Kotputli-Bahrod district, and Shahpura, Jaipur district. These meetings were in support of BJP candidates Hansraj Patel in Kotputli and Upen Yadav in Shahpura. During this, he said that the Congress government’s report card in Rajasthan shows zero development.

In the meeting in Kotputli, Rajnath Singh said, “The Congress government in Rajasthan is playing with the future of the youth. The Congress government had promised to provide employment to the youth in Rajasthan and if they couldn’t, they would provide unemployment allowance. Is the government giving allowances to the unemployed? The condition of health services in Rajasthan has worsened.”

He added, “What has the Congress government done in the last five years? Ask them today. The people of Rajasthan demand a report card for the last five years of the Congress government. When you see the Congress report card, there will be complete silence there.”
Expressing concern about the current situation of farmers, the Defense Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has addressed the concerns of farmers and decided to give them an annual honorarium of six thousand rupees. He stated, “If our government comes to power in Rajasthan, we will increase the annual amount to 12 thousand rupees under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.”

Rajnath Singh said, “The BJP has fulfilled what it promised. It was said that when there is a complete majority in both houses, we will abrogate Article 370 with a snap of the fingers, and we did. The construction of the grand Ram temple on the land of Ayodhya has taken place. Now, the consecration of Ram Lalla is happening.” He added, “We have put an end to the practice of triple talaq. The Congress used to say that women should be given reservations, but they didn’t do it. Our Prime Minister called a special session of Parliament and passed the Women’s Reservation Bill.”

The Defense Minister targeted the Congress government in Jaipur, saying, “In cases of murder or road rage, the Congress government in Jaipur gives more than 50 lakh rupees to victims of a particular community. It provides jobs and dairy booths too. It’s good if the government provides, but it doesn’t do anything for the other side.” He said that the government plays the politics of appeasement in these cases, thinking that if they help people of a particular community, that community will vote for them.
