In anticipation of a significant turnout of devotees from Rajasthan for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, the North Western Railway has taken the initiative to operate special trains from various cities in the state. This decision aims to provide convenience and ease for devotees making the journey to witness the historic event.
The special trains will be operational from Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Kota, and Jodhpur to Ayodhya. The operation of these trains is set to commence on January 15, ensuring seamless transportation for devotees attending the ceremony.
The special trains have been categorized into two classes. The first category comprises trains operating from January 15 to January 25, most of which will complete one or two rounds. The second category includes seven trains running until the beginning of April, with the possibility of extension based on demand.
Devotees are advised that the fares for Ayodhya Special trains will be approximately 30% higher compared to regular trains, as per railway regulations. The schedule and fare list for these trains are expected to be released soon, allowing passengers to make reservations for their journey.
In addition to the railway arrangements, people have also started booking flights to Ayodhya to avoid overcrowding on trains. Flights between Jaipur and Ayodhya, operated via Delhi, are scheduled to commence on January 16. Bookings are currently available at varying rates, ranging from Rs. 5,191 to Rs. 7,600 until January 18. Post this period, from January 19 to 22, the fare for Jaipur to Ayodhya flights is set at Rs. 11,000.
