Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon people across the country to take part in a cleanliness drive on October 1. Leaders from across the country took part in the ‘Shramdaan for Cleanliness’ program as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
Ramcharan Bohra, Member of Parliament, announced to installation of a water cooler at the Durgapura Railway Station as part of this nationwide one-hour cleanliness campaign. During this initiative, Bohra raised awareness about cleanliness by participating in shramdaan (voluntary labour) at the Durgapura Railway Station.
Additionally, Bohra engaged in shramdaan at the Durgapura cow shelter and collected soil in an Amrit Kalash (a sacred vessel) for the construction of a martyrs’ memorial in Delhi under the “Meri Mati—Mera Desh” campaign. Furthermore, he conducted a cleanliness campaign across Ward 70 of the Sanganer Assembly and emphasized that everyone should consider cleanliness as a service and fulfil their duties towards it. Under the cleanliness service campaign organized by Jaipur Nagar Nigam Heritage, a voluntary labour event took place at Jaleb Chowk. Deputy Mayor Aslam Farooqui, D.L.B. Director Hridayesh Kumar Sharma, Commissioner Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, Vigilance Commissioner Suresh Mehraniya, and the President of the Sanitation Workers Union, Nand Kishor Dandoria, were among those present at the event. Local citizens and devotees visiting the Govind Dev Ji temple, who had come to see the temple, also participated.
