The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is set to crack down on candidates using fake certificates to secure jobs, especially in the teacher recruitment examination. In the latest development, 58 candidates have been identified for submitting fake sports certificates during the teacher recruitment examination conducted by the board. These candidates have been given a 10-day window to provide clarifications. Failure to satisfy the board’s queries within the specified timeframe will result in strict action, including the filing of FIRs and lifetime debarring from competitive exams conducted by the board.
Sanjay Mathur, Secretary of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, revealed that many candidates applied for the teacher recruitment examination just two days before the application deadline, using sports certificates to benefit from the sports quota. However, subsequent verification exposed the falsehood.
The board is now prepared to take legal action against these candidates, emphasizing the seriousness of using fraudulent certificates.
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is currently engaged in the recruitment process for 48,000 teaching positions. Out of these, 32 candidates in level 1 and 26 candidates in level 2 attempted to secure jobs using fake sports certificates, malpractice was detected during the cross-verification process. The board has initiated the process to ban these candidates from lifelong competitive exams and take legal action against them.
Candidates using fake certificates must present their case and documents before the board by December 31, failing which legal action will be pursued.
The teacher recruitment examination for 48,000 positions, conducted from February 25 to March 1, witnessed the participation of 9.02 lakh candidates out of 9.65 lakh applicants. The attendance rate was 92.63% in Level 1 and 93.70% in Level 2.
