In a recent and concerning development, Rajasthan reported a surge in COVID-19 cases with 11 new positive cases today, further compounded by the unfortunate demise of two COVID-19-positive patients. Medical professionals are attributing the cause of death to an accident, marking a tragic turn in the ongoing battle against the pandemic.
Among the new cases, the capital city, Jaipur, witnessed the highest number, with seven individuals testing positive for COVID-19. Additionally, one positive case each was confirmed in Alwar, Dausa, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur.
Health authorities are actively monitoring and responding to the situation, initiating rigorous contact-tracing measures to curb the potential spread of the virus. The state remains steadfast in its efforts to combat the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and further updates will be provided as the situation unfolds. The public is urged to adhere to safety protocols and remain vigilant in the collective fight against the virus.
The health department took samples of a total of 722 people in Rajasthan on Sunday. Among these, the highest number of seven infected patients have been found in Jaipur.
Meanwhile, one infected patient has been found in Alwar, Dausa, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur. After this, the health department has kept the patients separate.
Jaipur Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Vijay Faujdar said, “A total of seven positive patients have come forward in Jaipur district today.
Whereas, before this, one case came on Saturday, and three cases came on Friday. All these patients have mild symptoms, but people still need to stay alert.
If anyone has symptoms like cough, cold, and fever, then they should immediately see a doctor and take necessary advice.”
The health department has given instructions to all the principals and superintendents of medical colleges and hospitals to ensure the availability of medicines, oxygen plants, and beds at their respective places. The inspection of all this equipment and arrangements will be done in all hospitals on December 26 through a mock drill.
