Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, a minister in Rajasthan and a prominent member of the Congress, submitted his nomination on Saturday for the November 25 Assembly election.
The prominent member of Congress presented his candidacy for the Civil Lines Assembly seat, where the BJP has not yet declared a candidate. Against BJP candidate Arun Chaturvedi, who received 69,859 votes, Khachariyawas won the 2018 Assembly elections from the Civil Lines constituency with 53.53 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, Congress released its fifth list of candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly election on Tuesday. The party in its fifth list included Vidhyadhar Choudhary from Phulera, Rooparam Choudhary from Jaisalmer, Saleh Mohammad from Pokaran, Hangami Lal Mewara from Asind and Dhiraj Gurjar from Jahazpur. Polls will be held in Rajasthan on November 25 and counting of votes will be done on December 3.
