Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari discussed several important points related to the financial situation of Rajasthan with officials of the finance department in a meeting. She gathered detailed information on the state’s financial condition, revenue, and expenditures on various schemes.
Additionally, she directed officials to create a plan for improving the state’s economic situation. She emphasised that the government’s goal is not only to strengthen Rajasthan economically but also to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the public promptly.
No compromise on quality
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari directed that there should be no compromise on the quality of any work, and strict action should be taken against those compromising the quality of work. She gave these directions during a review meeting of plans held on Saturday at the secretariat, which included the finance, public works department, women and child development department, and tourism, art, and culture department.
Important directions on these matters
During the review meeting of the Public Works Department, she directed that there should not be any complaints about the poor quality of roads. If a road is damaged within the five-year warranty period, ensure that the contractor responsible for road construction repairs it.
She expressed dissatisfaction with contractors who do not rectify the road during the warranty period and emphasised that action would be taken against such irregularities in the future. She also stressed the need for a system in all departments to ensure that the general public can directly complain about poor roads and get them repaired promptly.
Reviewing the meeting of the Women and Child Development Department, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari gave instructions to ensure the distribution of quality nutrition.
In the Tourism Department’s review meeting, she directed to enhance Rajasthan’s economy in tourism and work in that direction.
Apart from the season, plans should be made for the off-season as well, so that we can attract tourists, especially during the summer season. She gave instructions to organise some special festivals and promote rural tourism for this purpose.
