Punjab Tourism Minister and Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann has ordered a survey of legal and illegal constructions in Naya Gaon Municipal Limits besides demarcation of MC limits and land in possession of MC with immediate effect.
During the review meeting at the MC office, she insisted upon the need to check on the mushrooming of illegal constructions in the area. She said that as the MC area is in close proximity to the State Capital, the planned development is a must in the area.
She asked the officials to be more sensitive towards the grievances of the general public so that the residents could not wait for the basic civic amenities they were entitled to.
Stressing upon the availability of water supply, street lights, and sewer facilities, she directed the water supply and sanitation officials present in the meeting to start the work on the pending two tube-wells without further delay. She said that with these two new tubewells, the number will increase to 29.
The Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann further said that tenders of development works worth Rs 7.25 crore have been allocated and soon the MC Area would have a new facelift. Similarly, development works worth Rs 7.25 Crore more are in the offing as the Proposals for the works are in progress.
She made it clear that the sole agenda of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is to provide the people with all the facilities and infrastructure besides better education and health services, so nobody should be deprived of these.
